Your wedding flowers are the finishing touch to your gown, to your bridal party and to your décor.  With dozens of blooms and designs to choose from – where do you start to create the perfect complement to YOUR look?

Yes, you CAN save some money by buying your flowers in bulk and arranging them yourself, but what do you do when your shipment arrives?  Is your refrigerator big enough to hold your stock and the arrangements as you complete them?  What if the flowers are the wrong colour or of poor quality when they arrive – do you have access to replacements?  Do you really have time?  Do you have the skill?  This is where your full service Florist comes in - they have Professional Floral Designers.

Professional Floral Designers have the training and experience to guide you through your selection process. They can create beautifully finished bouquets that will last from the first step down the aisle to the last dance.

GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR CONSULTATION

Book your consultation approximately six weeks in advance of your wedding.  A private consultation allows your Professional Floral Designer to give you the full attention your wedding plans deserve.

Have your budget set.  Your Designer needs to know at the outset what your budget for flowers will be.  Avoid the disappointment of finding out that the bouquet you have just fallen in love with does not fit your budget.

Limit your distractions – children or too large an “entourage” can make the process more difficult.  It’s great to bring a couple of trusted advisors, but often well meaning friends and relatives will try to encourage you to have THEIR dream arrangement.

Have a “Plan B”.  Those tulips you really want for your October wedding will not only be hard to get, they could be incredibly expensive and substandard because they are out of season.  Your Designer will be up front about seasonal availability and can suggest alternatives to avoid disappointment.  Some flowers are beautiful in centerpieces but may not be suitable in a bridal bouquet, corsage or boutonniere.

If possible bring swatches of your fabrics or colour chips that you can leave with the Designer.  You may have seen pictures of what you are looking for, bring them if possible.
